People & Things is a weekly philosophical exploration of everything, and sometimes nothing. Science, literature, history, and philosophy, explored through the lens of curiosity. It grew out of Cómo funcionan las cosas (comofuncionanlascos.as), a Spanish-language newsletter I’ve been writing since 2017. What started as a personal exercise in thinking out loud slowly turned into a shared ritual: one “thing” a week. This English version isn’t a reboot or an expansion — it’s the same ongoing attempt to pay attention to people, ideas, and objects, and to see what happens when curiosity is given a bit of room.
